New Era.

Semester 3 has finally begin after holidaying for a month. But the sad thing is, I am sick again. =S

So for my first day in Semester 3 aka my last semester, hopefully, I finally get to know what exactly is Introduction to Business Principles all about. Want to know what i found out about it? It is basically about everything in business. =D .. and according to a friend, Introduction to Marketing Principles which I had took earlier would somehow help me for my Introduction to Business Principles.

Next, would be Macroeconomics. Time flies though. First I was taking Micro and now I'm taking Macro. Wow =/. Hopefully I don't repeat the same mistake I had done in my previous semester for Micro. =D Anyway, still hoping to get into Group B. Grawr. Stupid system =.=.

So Day 1 was pretty good. =D

2008.

2008 have been a very memorable one for me as many events has took part this year.

Like every "lucky" ordinary Malaysians who have just completed Form 5, a list of those who are chosen for the National Service would be out. And being the lucky one, I am chosen. I was placed in the second batch which lasted from March 18 till June 7. And it has been a memorable one although it is just for a short period of time.

The National Service not only taught me to be independent, but also to respect others from the different races and to work together as a team. For the National Service, I was sent to Benum Hill Resort in Raub, Pahang. And was placed in the Alpha Team.

Finally it's time for my studies. And after surveying few colleges and courses, I have finally decided to enroll myself in Help's very own Foundation in Arts programme. Thus far, it has been a memorable one. With the people I met from the course, I have learn many different things such as the culture one may have in their very own country. Besides that, the various programmes organized by the Student Council committee have been a very treasureous one. Thank You for everything =).

Then had a trip to Singapore with my family. Was greatly impress with the facilities. Malaysia must certainly improve it. No doubt.

Lion Mermaid of Singapore.

Visited Haw Par Villa.

And found this tiger.

While walking around. also met pretty girls :D

To sum everything up, this is what happen in the year 2008.
Austria and Switzerland hosted Euro 2008

Spain emerged as the Champions of Europe.

Fabregas with the trophy.

Beijing hosted the Olympics 2008 which they won and many thought that the preparation for the Beijing Olympics is tremendous and awesome.

Then the financial crisis came by.

Obama thumped McCain in the US Presidential Election. Hillary Clinton was chosen as his Secretary of State.

That's All

Goodbye
2008

Santa.

Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, or simply "Santa", is the legendary and mythical figure who, in many Western cultures, brings gifts to good children on Christmas Eve, December 24 or on his Feast Day, December 6 (Saint Nicholas Day). The legend may have part of its basis in hagiographical tales concerning the historical figure of Saint Nicholas.

While Saint Nicholas was originally portrayed wearing bishop's robes, in modern times, Santa Claus is generally depicted as a plump, jolly, white-bearded man wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots. This image became popular in the United States in the 19th century due to the significant influence of caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast. This image has been maintained and reinforced through song, radio, television, and films. In the United Kingdom and Europe, his depiction is often identical to the American Santa, but he is commonly called Father Christmas.

One legend associated with Santa says that he lives in the far north, in a land of perpetual snow. The American version of Santa Claus lives at the North Pole, while Father Christmas is said to reside in Lapland. Other details include: that he is married and lives with Mrs. Claus; that he makes a list of children throughout the world, categorizing them according to their behavior ("naughty" or "nice"); that he delivers presents, including toys, candy, and other presents to all of the good boys and girls in the world, and sometimes coal or sticks to the naughty children, in one night; and that he accomplishes this feat with the aid of magical elves who make the toys, and eight or nine flying reindeer who pull his sleigh.

There has long been opposition to teaching children to believe in Santa Claus. Some Christians say the Santa tradition detracts from the religious origins and purpose of Christmas. Other critics feel that Santa Claus is an elaborate lie, and that it is unethical for parents to teach their children to believe in his existence. Still others oppose Santa Claus as a symbol of the commercialization of the Christmas holiday, or as an intrusion upon their own national traditions.
